A sophisticated era has begun, but still, gender equality is a firing topic. Discrimination against girls is still going on. Many girls do not get proper rights as their brothers. The sick mentality of society does not let girls and women step outside of the home until the men of the house want and this does not let many girls accomplish their dreams. Their future gets ruined because of the suffering from which many girls have to go through. To uproot violence against girls, the Ministry of Women and Child Development of India started celebrating National Girl Child Day on January 24 every year.

How has the age-old inequality made girls suffer?
In Typical Orthodox Indian families, girls are usually mistreated as if they are not their own child. because they think that girls’ own home is their in-laws’ home, so they think girls are a burden on them. For decades, The cases of female feticide also become headlines of the newspapers. There are still some parents who don’t want daughters because they fear that they may suffer from infamy if something bad happens with their daughter in the future.
Due to the meaningless fear of infamy, many girls are prohibited from going to schools and from pursuing their dreams and they are treated as weaklings which obviously result in making them unable to fight for their rights and freedom. This type of mistreatment usually makes them unable to save themselves from violence. Such treatment lowers their confidence to grow and enhance.
Why is there income inequality between the two genders for the same work?
Though society is reforming, still the inequality persisted when it comes to income. The solid proof of this fact is the pay gap between a male and female for the same position in the same department. Let us take an example, . We all know that the nurse job is female-dominated, but even in this type of job, female nurses’ income is lower than male nurses’ income under the same position in the same hospital, let alone in other male dominated jobs. When women can do the same type of work which men can do in their same level jobs, why women’s income is low? The fact is that there is no reasonable explanation for this, but it is still a bias even if it is indirect. This bias makes women financially weaker than men, but it still exists.
Let the girl child grow and bloom
The fear of infamy has no meaning because boys can also ruin their parents’ reputation if they also do something bad. If children are given good teachings and better education from the beginning, they will definitely enlighten their parents’ names in the world whether it’s a boy or girl. If daughters are taught self-defense and are made mentally strong by their parents, no one will be courageous enough to even touch them.
Moral education, respect for others, physical and mental strength are the qualities that parents should inculcate in their daughters. If daughters are given proper rights, good education, and opportunities to grow, they will let our society grow.
How can a society grow with girls’ growth?
It is usually said that if girls flourish, this world will flourish, but how? Think about it; a girl is illiterate and is not physically fit. Because she does not understand the importance of education and she is not healthy, when she becomes a mother in the future, she does not provide education to her children and is not able to take care of her children’s health as well. As a result, she unknowingly increases the percentage of the illiterate and physically unfit population which damages the development of a nation. On the other side, a girl is properly educated and physically and mentally healthy. In the future, her children will also be healthy, and she will give them chances to pursue their talents in studies and sports. Such mothers play a key role in strengthening the development of a country.
Give her wings and she will bring laurels to their country
There are many examples of the girls who brought laurels to their parents, their teachers, and their nation by showing their capabilities in the field of sports and studies. Those girls did not come from the sky. They could do that because their parents and teachers supported them and let them pursue their dreams.
Kalpna Chawla and Sunita Williams are the names of those two girls whose dreams had no limits and wowed everyone with their research and techniques in space. Sports and the field of study are no longer the only places for boys now.
The girls are overpowering boys with their limitless abilities. The “World Yoga Champions” of Shah Satnam Ji Educational Institute have 38 medals which include diamond, gold, and silver medals from Asian and International championships. You will be shocked to hear that all Yoga champions are girls, and they are the no.1 yoga players in the whole world. Be it Cricket, Ice-Hockey, Basketball, Football, Gymnastics, or any other game, the girl students of Shah Satnam Ji Educational Institutions enlighten the name of their parents, teachers, and their nation by winning them.
Let us make our country full of opportunities for everyone.
The virtuous upbringing and equal opportunities are the reason for their success. Today, women are engineers, they are pilots, they are an army, they are doctors, they are politicians, they are writers, they are wrestlers, and they are artists. Their amazing and renowned works are proof that girls are no less than boys in any field. They need an opportunity to prove themselves.
