What makes January 25th so special

In our daily life, we come across various hardships and worries. We wish for the guidance which can make our vision clear and our path easier.

Shah satnam Ji Maharaj became the ray of hope, the beacon of knowledge and the guiding angel for lakhs of people. The 2nd Master of Dera Sacha Sauda, Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj brought the light of truth into the lives of millions of souls who were stuck in the web of ignorance and misery.

The followers celebrate the complete month of January as Incarantion month and 25th January as the Holy Incarnation day of Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj.

The day is special when the radiance is incarnated.

Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj incarnated on January 25th, 1919. His holiness was born in a Sindhu Family in Sri Jalalana Sahib in the district of Sirsa (Haryana) in India.  He was born to respected father Shri Wareyam Singh Ji and respected mother  Aas Kaur Ji. Both of them were very noble souls and believed in God and righteousness. The birth name of Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj was Sardar Harbans Singh Ji. As a child, his holiness was extremely devoted to God, and wished to become one with him.

When the search for Naam Shabad led to meeting with True Spirituality Master.

Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj read various religious literatures and was always curious about Naam Shabad and Guru. In his search to find the true path of salvation, he met several people.

This journey of finding a perfect spiritual master continued for several years.  His Holiness listened to the teachings of many God men and also practiced what they taught. But he did not find what he sought.

Then the day came, when in his pursuit to attain divine enlightenment, Shah Satnam Ji once attended the spiritual discourse of Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. His Holiness felt immense satisfaction and was impressed by the grace of Shah Mastana Ji. He followed this revered saint with utmost sincerity and started attending all the Satsangs of Shah Mastana Ji. This continued for three consecutive years.

The footprints of the Lord surprised everyone.

Once Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj was traveling and in his way, his holiness marked some footprints with his stick and said to the volunteers who came with him, “Let me show you ‘Rabb ki Pairh’(God’s Footprints).” One of the volunteers said that the foot markings belonged to Zaildar Sardar Harbans Singh Ji (childhood name of Pujya Parampita Ji) of Shri Jalal Aana Sahib. But Shah Mastana Ji again said that he did not know of any Zaildar, but proclaimed that those were the Lord’s Footprints. Everyone was surprised by his holy words but no one knew the true secret behind his words.

The day came when the holy method of meditation was bestowed.

On March 14, 1954, in the village of Ghukeyanwali near Sirsa, Shah Mastana Ji conducted a Satsang (spiritual discourse) and after the Satsang, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj bestowed the pious method of meditation to Shah Satnam Singh Ji.

Shah Mastana Ji also sermoned that Shah Satnam Ji would be entrusted with special responsibility and would be the leader of Spirituality who will shower the blessings of the Naam Shabad (method of Meditation) on the world.

Inheriting the spiritual treasures

On 28th February 1960, Revered Shah Mastana Ji proclaimed Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj as his holy successor and 2nd Master of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa. His Holiness blessed him with the Spiritual Wealth and honored him by the name of ‘Shah Satnam Singh Ji’.

Shah Mastana Ji revealed that that Satnam is the power that controls the whole Universe. It is the divine power due to which the world exists. Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj also added, “The soul of any individual who utters ‘Satnam’ or who has His (Shah Satnam Singh Ji’s) pious glance will never go to Hell.”

The divine journey of blessing the ignorant souls with true knowledge

Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji taught the method of meditation to lakhs of people. In the time frame of 27 years, Guruji held Spiritual discourses (Satsangs) across many cities of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. His Holiness bestowed the method of meditation to almost 11 lakh people and set them on the path of spirituality. With Shah Satnam Ji’s pious teachings, lakhs of people learnt the virtues of honesty, integrity and realized the true meaning and purpose of their lives. Three core principles to follow while practicing method of meditation were:

  • Quit non-vegetarian
  • Quit liquor and consumption of intoxicants
  • Loyal to towards legal relations, abstain from illegal relations

These principles are still followed and are the basis of living a righteous life.

The divine teachings of Shah Satnam JI maharaj are still being taught by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, the third Spiritual Master of Dera Sacha Sauda. These teachings have revived humanity, given a true life to millions and are being followed across the world.
