What Is So Special About September 23?
DSS has three spiritual masters as it’s guiding angels since 29th April, 1948. The revered founder and foremost Guru of DSS- Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj handed over all the responsibilities of DSS to His successor Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj declaring Him the Second Chief of DSS. After 30 years of being the Head of DSS, the honourable second Guru handed over the Gurugaddi to the respected present chief of DSS- Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan on 23rd September, 1990. Since then, the day is celebrated with great excitement and happiness among DSS volunteers.
The day includes it’s specialty itself by being the day when universe blessed the mankind with the messenger of Almighty. It is the day when one eternal spiritual body transformed itself into another younger one with extra spiritual features.
Glimpse To The Holy Coronation Ceremony
A Guru is truthful to His followers, so was the honourable second spiritual master. He discussed about electing the lineage and the upcoming third spiritual master of DSS with all his followers to know about their will. There was a suggestion about giving the throne to the bloodline of the Guruji to which Guru Ji denied directly. “It is not an object or a matter of parental property” , He replied.
When all the followers were confused, they asked Guruji to choose someone Himself according to the qualities required. Then, Param Pita Ji (Guruji) chose Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan (The present head of DSS) and announced His decision among the followers.
Saint Dr. MSG (The present head) was one of the disciples of Param Pita Ji. He belongs to a very dignified and royal family of Sri Gurusar Modia, Rajasthan. The Great personality of Thou being an ideal disciple was perfect for being the successor of DSS. As everyone accepted Him their next Guru, revered Param Pita Ji officially blessed Him and declared them the third and the last spiritual master of DSS on 23rd September, 1990. A formal ceremony was held at DSS in the presence of all devotees.
The Pious Sermons That Glued Millions With Spiritual Chords
While announcing Saint Dr. MSG as the third Guru, Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj blessed the followers with some holy sermons which are as follows:-
• “Divine blessings have been showered on Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan as per the order of Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj (The first head of DSS).”
• “It was the will of the God, so it has to be happened. I have appointed Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan as my successor.”
• “Anybody who loves Him (Saint Dr. MSG), loves me, anyone who obeys Him, obeys me or any one having i’ll feeling for Him, would be considered the same for me.”
He further ended the holy sermons by saying,
“Hum the, Hum hai, Hum hi rahenge!”

which means we were, we are and we shall remain always!
With this, He handed over all the duties and responsibilities of DSS to Saint Dr. MSG and freed Himself from everything.
Millions Of Lives Got Meaningful Under Pious Benevolence
After the affairs of DSS were handed over to Saint Dr. MSG, the DSS volunteers increased at a great speed. Many initiatives were founded by the revered Guruji for the spiritual development and humanitarianism. The campaigns like Jaam-E-Insan in which people pledge to follow the basic three principles of DSS and to follow the path of humanity.
The three basic principles include :
- following of vegetarianism,
- avoiding the consumption of alcohol or any kind of drug and
- to create a social balance of loyalty among your relationships.
These initiatives have lighten up the lives of millions of people. Today, 65 million people have given up on drugs or alcohol and live a peaceful healthy life. All the followers are attached to Almighty via meditation with the holy guidance of Saint Dr. MSG. Moreover, health care services are provided by DSS. There are a facility of mobile hospital too named ‘Nanha Farishta‘. 24×7 ambulance is available for the need & care of patients. Additionally, DSS has owned number of various world records in Tree plantation, Blood Donation and in other humanitarian deeds. These world records include 22 Guinness World Records , 44 Asia Book Of Records , 7 India Book Of Records and 3 Limca Book Of Records.

The day of 23rd September is celebrated with a great excitement and happiness every year by each and every DSS devotee. It is the custom over there to celebrate the occasions in the name of humanity. So, like every other event, this day is also celebrated by serving the world with different humanitarian deeds initiated by DSS. Followers from different areas contribute to the welfare of the society by being the part of the contribution either by financially or physically. In this way, their hearts thank the great benevolence of Almighty for such an act of blessing on them of having such a legendary personality as their GURU.
