What is so special about November?
Every year, millions of people all over the world excitedly wait for November. For followers of Dera Sacha Sauda, this month is extremely blissful and pious. November is the month of the incarnation of Sai Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj who is the founder and the first spiritual master of Dera Sacha Sauda.
The day is pious when the Lord incarnated on this mortal world.
The incarnation of a True Spiritual Saint is a blessing for the whole universe. When the souls get trapped in a cobweb of evils and forget their true purpose, Almighty sends his messengers to free souls from the trap and awaken them to get salvation. Thus the whole universe celebrates the moment when a true saint or Messiah arrives on this planet.
A similar moment occurred on the full moon day of Kartik month in 1891 in village Kotada, Tehsil Gandhey, state Kulayat (Balochistan), when Shah Mastana Ji was born to the family of revered father Shri Pillamal Ji and revered mother Mata Tulsan Bai ji. Revered mother and father were very religious, kind, and honest. They would spend most of their time in the service of people and religious works. The childhood name of Sai Ji was Shri Khemamal Ji. It was Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj who entitled Sai Ji with the name “Shah Mastana Ji” and instructed his holiness to propagate the message of spirituality in the region of Bagad and made Sai Ji ” Bagad Ka Badshah”.

It was on 29 April 1948 when Shah Mastana Ji laid the foundation of Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa, Haryana to propagate the message of spirituality and humanity. The seed sown by Sai Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj has now grown into a big tree shading millions of lives from sorrows and giving them fruits of happiness and smiles. Dera Sacha Sauda is not just a place or building to visit, it is an organization and family for millions, connected through the cords of selfless love and passion for humanity.
The one who removed all superstitions and established a simple method of salvation.
Shah Mastana Ji awared people about the superstitions in the name of God. Sai Ji propagated the message that God does not need any worldly offerings. Sai Ji taught the method of meditation to people. This method of mediation is so simple that one does not need to change his religion, caste, or clothes, but just his thoughts. The true method of meditation provides guaranteed salvation if one wholeheartedly meditates with pure thoughts and follows the path of humanity honestly. Shah Mastana Ji demanded nothing in return, but laid down three principles for every Dera Sacha Sauda follower ;
1. Avoid liquor or any type of drug intake.
2. Quit non-vegetarianism.
3. Be loyal to legitimate relationships and maintain high moral character.
The three pledges are made by every devotee while learning the method of meditation in front of the Spiritual Master.

Shah Mastana Ji coined the holy slogan ” Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Asra”. This is not just a slogan but an important blessing for all. It means ” We thank the almighty master who is our only support.”
