What is the key to a healthy relationship with your partner?
Did you know that 63% of Indian Youth is involved in relationships. A healthy relationship can help one in all aspects of life (be it personal, professional or spiritual). But an unhealthy relationship ruins the most crucial years of our lives. When we are teenagers, we fail to understand what’s right and what’s wrong for us and as a result, we are more prone to getting ourselves involved into unhealthy relationships.
Depression, stress and anxiety come hand in hand with an unhealthy relationship.
We get into relationships when the levels of hormones are on their peak but when responsibilities fall on the shoulder, due to a weak foundation, the entire relationship ends. This is what happens with more than 45 percent of today’s relationships.
Following are 5 ways to fix your toxic relationship with your partner
- Have an understanding. Give time to your relationship.
- Meditate and increase your will power to face all the hardships that come along with the relationship. When there’s a lack of strong will power, fights and quarrels overshine the love and compatibility.
Hence it is very necessary for both the partners to have strong self-confidence and will power. - Even our religions preach that you become what you eat, watch and hear. Nowadays the food has become sugar coated poison that slowly not only does harm your physical health rather harms your mental health as well. Social media is filled with wrong messages all over. Reading books and ancient scriptures are an antidote to vulgarity and dirt filled on the social media that we expose ourselves to on a daily basis.
All these things sum up and form your character and personality. Choosing right food to eat, right content to consume modifies your personality in a positive manner and you become a calmer person which in turn helps you handle the hardships of relationships easily. - Communicate with your partner when you’re in a dilemma and sort things out rather than piling things up by avoiding conversations.
- Introspect your relationship and try to improve all the drawbacks that are there in it.
In the end, a right partner is someone who is going to stay with us through this journey of life. Value your relationship. Instead of fighting and arguing over trivial things, focus on your and your partner’s growth.
