The world today is celebrating “Valentine’s day“- The day of TRUE LOVE. Language is often inadequate when it comes to describing the word ‘love.’ Love is something that can be felt and every dictionary in the universe fails to describe the feelings of true love.

What is True Love?

Everyone defines love in his way. Love is when a cow mourns for her calf when separated, when or when a breadwinner flies towards the fire knowing the risk of its life. Love can be realized from the long-lived tales of Meerabai who drank poison in the name of love. True love is sacred. Love is God and God is love. Maybe sometimes the greatness and goodness of GOD could be explained but the warmth of love is indefinable. Love is the most powerful strength in the universe.

Love can only be polished in pain.

True love demands sacrifice, the sacrifice of transformation, transformation of the ego, ill perspectives, evils, and bad habits. It makes you a better person than before. But a change is always painful because you have to fight with your negative thoughts. The journey of love has many ups and downs but the power of a true lover crosses the very path and knows no boundaries. True love dissolves every tangle and risks everything. After reaching the destination, true love gives the power that the lover can effortlessly reduce itself to rubble. It is the stage when all the treasures are no longer hidden and the person enjoys boundless happiness.

Who teaches true love?

 True love of God is taught by a Spiritual Master who himself is an epitome of infinite love for infinity. The Master -disciple relationship is the highest expression of friendship and love, for it is based on unconditional sacred love and wisdom. He is the one who helps his disciple when he stumbles in darkness. He is the one who shows the path to meet God Within when your soul cries constantly for God. The only abode where God could be found in the heart of a true lover.

True lovers never run out of patience.

It takes time to turn a dark night into a full moon night.  One has to wait for the autumn to become spring. Overlook the thorns and see the rose, overlook the night and see the dawn, and overlook the obstacles and see the success.

 The ones who love their spiritual master always long for his divine sight and blessings.

To get one glance of their love, true lovers are ready to sacrifice anything. Their only wish is to get a glimpse of their Master who made their every moment feel like heaven and taught them the true path to get tranquility.

True love accompanies you – always and forever.

When you love Almighty, he never leaves you alone. Even when you are engulfed by some darkness, he guides you from your heart. Every obstacle of life becomes easier. The person who loves God loves his creation as well. He becomes more sympathetic, humble, and generous. Mercy becomes his reflecting quality and he tries to heal everyone in pain.  He finds beauty and love in the drop of water that falls into the ocean, in the smile of a newborn baby, in the flowers blossoming, and in the tiny particles of rocks glittering in the sun. He loves mankind and worships every aspect of nature.

What is love in the modern world?

This modern world is composed of materialism. People are far away from the authentic expression of feelings. Everyone wants to have a sense of belonging and selfishness. But true love is about selflessness and nothingness.  Love is not about some romantic dates and breakups, it is far greater than that. That is why it is easy to spread hatred among humans in the modern world. Love sees no boundaries, no castes, and no religions. Love promotes brotherhood and a feeling of unitedness.

Is true love still alive?

In the world of materialism, still there are millions of people who understand true love. They are the people who sacrifice everything for humanity. These are people who donate blood, plant trees, serve the needy, and sacrifice their hard earned money to help others. Those who have humanity, compassion, and selflessness in heart,  are the true lovers, lovers of God. They are the ones who are devoted to the teachings of their Divine Master and follow the path of humanity.

What is the right way to celebrate true love?

Celebrate true love day by spreading love and fondness.

-Help the needy. Some people need food, clothes, and shelter.

-Donate blood.

-Listen to the pain of others and try to reduce it.

-Try to heal the wounds of the injured.

-Develop mercy and empathy towards every creation of God.

-Try to remove the evils within you -ego, negativity, selfishness, etc.

This is the only way one can taste the wonderful essence of true love.
