Pious Incarnation Day of Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj

Saints are the form of Almighty who incarnate on Earth in the body of humans. They may look like us, but their aim is different from any of us. They come among us to show us true and righteous way. Their acts are selfless. They are the kindest among us and never hate anyone. They do not fall prey to bad habits like normal humans. Instead, they make others leave bad habits and vices. They spend their whole life while serving humanity and teaching masses God’s name. Explaining their benevolence in any way is impossible. Such a true saint, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj incarnated on January 25, 1919.

Pious Incarnation of Revered Saint, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj

Revered Saint, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj’s birth place wasJalalana Sahab, Haryana. His holiness’s Revered father’s name was Shri Wareyam Singh Ji and Revered mother’s name was Mata Aas Kaur Ji. Guru Ji belonged to Sidhu family. His holiness’s father was an eminent landlord and head of the village. His holiness’s Revered father and Revered mother had everything in their house, but they did not have any child even after 18 years of their marriage. They never told anyone about their wish of a child.

They used to serve saints and sages with true heart and they had firm faith in God. Once, a saint came to their house. Revered Mata Ji (Param Pita Ji’s Revered Mother)did his welcome with great respect and gave him food. The saint asked why Revered Mata Ji is sad.Revered Mata Ji answered that they have everything given by God, but they do not have any child. The saint smiled and said that Supreme power will take birth in their house, but the condition is that HE will stay with them only for 43 years.Revered Mata Ji got sad after hearing about 43 years and said that 43 years are less. The saint asked Revered Mata Ji to not to worry. HE said that the supreme power will stay with them for 43 years, but after that, HE will leave them to do the worksof a true saint for which HE is going to incarnate. After saying this, the saint left the village. Just as the saint had prophesized, Revered Saint, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj incarnated in their house on 25th January, 1919. Guru Ji’s birth name was Harbans Singh Ji. Later in 1960, Revered Guru, BeparwahShah Mastana Ji Maharaj bestowed HIM with the name, Satnam Singh Ji.

A Little Glance at His Holiness’s childhood

His holiness’s birth brought happiness in the house of Revered Mata Ji (Param Pita Ji’s revered mother) and Revered Pita Ji (Param Pita Ji’s revered father). Everyone celebrated this pious moment. The saint who had prophesized about HIS holiness’s birth also came in their house. He told Revered Mata Ji and Revered Pita Ji that supreme lord has HIMSELF incarnated in their house. He also said that they must not scold HIM in any manner and must give HIM their full attention. Everyone agreed with the saint.

Since childhood, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj was different from any other child of HIS age. There are many instances of real-life events of Param Pita Ji’s pious childhood and youth which prove that Param Pita Ji was not an ordinary human. One day, Revered Mata Ji was cooking food in earthen stove. (Every family of village used to cook food in earthen stove including wealthy families during that time) Param Pita Ji who was now 4-5 years old was having food while sitting beside the earthen stove. A financially weak person entered their house while crying. He started telling Revered Mata Ji that he works as labourer in someone’s fields and that person has refused to help him. Revered Mata Ji asked him what happened. He said that he had asked his owner for one hundred rupees for his daughter’s marriage. (The value of 100 rupees was higher during that time) He further said that his owner did not lend him the money and after three days, it’s his daughter’s marriage. He said that he would not be able to do any arrangement for the marriage. After saying that, he started crying again.

Param Pita Ji who was 4 years old then, was listening to their conversation while having food. His holiness stopped eating and stood beside Revered Mata Ji. His holiness said to Revered Mata Ji, “Maa, what is he saying? How much money is he asking for?” Revered Mata Ji answered that he is asking for one hundred rupees. Then Revered Param Pita Ji said, “Oh Maa, please give him two hundred rupees, but never ask him to return the money. Think as if you have done my sister’s marriage.” If we listen to or read this conversation, it seems ordinary, but if this is said by a four years old child, how do you feel? Four years old children cannot think of anything except their toys. There is no way a four years old child can say such heart touching words without even learning or listening from anywhere. This can only be sign of a spiritual saint.

When Param Pita ji started studying, whenever any of His holiness’s classmates or friends used to fall ill, His holiness used to help them in medication. Giving books and providing help to financially weak students was in His Holiness’s nature. Everyone from His holiness’s village and from HIS school used to praise HIM for HIS kindness and down to earth nature. They used to tell others of the stories of HIS charitable works. His holiness was sole child of their parents. When his holiness was 5 years old, HIS revered father left this world. HE grew up under utmost care of Revered Mata Ji and Revered Mama Ji (Guru Ji’s maternal uncle), Baba Veer Singh Ji.

Param Pita Ji used to Care for Animals too

There was a bull in Param Pita Ji’s village, Jalalana Sahab who used to eat crops in Param Pita Ji’s fields. The servants who used to work in Param Pita Ji’s fields told Param Pita Ji’s Revered Mata Ji about the bull. Revered Mata Ji called Param Pita Ji and asked HIM to keep an eye on the bull who eats their crops. Param Pita Ji agreed. When 10-15 days passed and revered Mata Ji asked the servants if the bull still eats their crops now, the servants started laughing. When Revered Mata Ji asked them why they were laughing, they told Revered Mata Ji that Harbans Singh Ji (Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj) does not stop the bull. Instead, HE encourages the bull to eat in the fields by saying that it’s of his Karma. Revered Mata Ji again called His holiness regarding it. His holiness said to Revered Mata Ji that if she says, HE will make the bull stop eating in their fields. Param Pita Ji went to the bull and said to him that his (the bull’s) complaint has been done in HIS house, so he (the bull) should eat a little from everywhere instead of eating by standing in one field. The villagers tell that from that day onwards until the bull died, the bull never used to eat in one field by standing at one place. He used to eat a little from every field while walking.

How Param Pita Ji Started Search of HIS true Spiritual Master

Revered Mata Ji was kind and of selfless personality. She used to teach his holiness to always stay away from bad company and to take God’s name and to do good deeds. With Revered Mata Ji’s encouragement, his holiness had Amrit Paan after completing school. His holiness used to read holy scriptures of Gurbani daily on timely manner. Thanks to Guru Ji’s hard work and selfless interest, a Gurdwara Sahib was built in Jalalana Sahab. Guru Ji also used to participate in any spiritual and religious programs. His holiness was more interested in charitable and humanitarian works than worldly affairs. Even after doing all this, his holiness could not attain true happiness and peace. His holiness’s wish to see Waheguru and to get true happiness was still not fulfilled. With an aim to quench HIS thirst of spirituality, His holiness started finding a true saint. HE met many saints, listened to their sermons, observed their lifestyle, teachings and values, but HE did not achieve satisfaction from anywhere.

The Day came when HIS Holiness finally met HIS True Spiritual Master

His holiness had learned a lot about Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharajwho had founded Socio-spiritual organization, Dera Sacha Sauda and inaugurated Dera Sacha Sauda’s first Ashram, Shah Mastana Ji Dham on 31st April 1948 in Sirsa, Haryana. One day, Param Pita Ji went to Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa, Haryana. Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj’s pious sermons and spiritual personality impressed HIM deeply. On that day, His holiness finally found HIS true saint. His holiness started coming to Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj’s spiritual congregations. By coming to these spiritual congregations, His holiness achieved true satisfaction and experienced a unique peace.

This is the Footstep of Almighty

One day, Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj was going to Dabwali after completing holy discourse in Sirsa. HE also did satsangs (holy discourses) in the villages in the way. When HE went to Jalalana Sahab, HE stopped while walking. HE had a stick in HIS hands which HE used to use while walking. HE made a circle around one footstep with that stick. The devotees who were with Beparwah Ji, started asking what that was. Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj answered by asking them to come close and to see Almighty’s footstep. There were also some people from the village, Jalalana Sahab among those devotees. When they saw the footstep, they started saying that this footstep belongs to their village’s head, Harbans Singh Ji (Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj). After hearing that, Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj started laughing. HE said that believe it or not, this is definitely Almighty’s footstep. No one spoke anything after that because no one used to speak much in front of a true saint during that time. Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj reached Jalalana Sahab village and did holy discourses. Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj also attended these holy discourses.

This is How Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj bestowed His Holiness with Method of Meditation

His holiness used to express HIS desire in front ofBeparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj to give HIM method of meditation. Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj used to refuse every time by saying that HE will not get method of meditation now. Beparwah Ji also used to say to Param Pita Ji that Kaal (negative power) will not harm HIM, keep attending satsang (spiritual discourse). Following Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj’s sermons, His holiness, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj kept coming to holy discourses. Three years passed like this.

On 14th March 1954, during holy discourse in the village of Ghukeyanwali near Sirsa, Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj was about to give method of meditation when Beprwah Ji called Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj and made HIM sit near HIM by saying, “Sardar Harbans Singh Ji, come in the room and sit near the chair. Today, Almighty has ordered to teach you method of meditation”. After hearing this, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj entered the room where Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj was going to bestow the method of meditation. Due to seeing no space near the chair of Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj, His holiness sat in the back. After seeing His highness sitting there,Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj asked HIM to sit beside HIM.

After making His holiness sit beside HIM, Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj said, “you have been called and made sit beside by my side because you will be entrusted with a very special responsibility. You will be the leader of Zindaram (Almighty) who will make the world chant Almighty’s name”. Even if universe changes its law and all the planets forget or change their routes, nothing can change any of the words uttered by a true saint because what a true saint says, it surely happens. Only the true saint HIMSELF has power to change HIS words. Similarly, the words said by Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj were bound to come true in future.

The world got its Satnam

After some time, Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj asked Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj to come to Dera Sacha Sauda after leaving HIS family. Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj whose name was Harbans Singh Ji during that time, came to Dera Sacha Sauda. Beparwah Ji bestowed HIM with the pious name, “Shah Satnam Singh Ji” and said that HE is the Satnam (Almighty) whom this world is looking for.

A Great Test was Still Pending Before Declaring Spiritual Succession

Param Pita Ji had left HIS family before coming to Dera Sacha Sauda as instructed by Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. Beparwah Ji asked Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji to demolish HIS entire house and to bring everything of the house including bricks got from demolishing the house to the Ashram. Following HIS adorable Guru Ji’s guidance, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj did the same without any hesitation. His holiness brought HIS household belongings to Dera Sacha Saudaon vehicles and came to Dera Sacha Sauda with HIS family. Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj asked Param Pita Ji why HE brought HIS house’s belongings to the Ashram.

Beprarvah Ji asked His holiness to remove everything from the Ashram and to move HIS stuff anywhere else. Beparwah Ji also asked Parama Pita Ji to look after HIS belongings by HIMSELF. Param Pita Ji started looking after HIS belongings in the middle of the cold night with HIS family. Then Param Pita Ji started distributing HIS house’s everything including motorcycle and other home appliances to others. After getting free from the responsibility of looking after HIS belongings, Param Pita Ji went to Beparwah Ji. His holiness said to Beparwah Ji that HE does not care for these things as HE is the lover of only God’s name, so HE distributed HIS everything. After hearing it, Beparwah Ji said that one day, you will start giving away that much that whoever takes it will become affluent.

The greatest example of Beparwah Ji’s this sermon coming true is that in Dera Sacha Sauda, everyone obtains happiness. People receive gifts during their birthdays, but during Dera Sacha Sauda’s spiritual Masters’ pious incarnation months, the needy are helped and total of 137 welfare works are done by Dera Sacha Sauda followers to celebrate these pious occasions.

Beparwah Ji done benevolence on Millions of people by choosing Param Pita Ji as HIS Spiritual Successor

The day of February 28 and the year 1960 have been written as the benevolence day and year in the book of history. On this day, Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj declared Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj as HIS spiritual successor by handing over the spiritual throne of Dera Sacha Sauda. All the Dera Sacha Sauda followers accepted holiness as their second spiritual master.

Conclusion

Following the footsteps shown by their true spiritual master, they celebrate the entire January month by doing humanitarian works. Today, more than 65 million people living worldwide are devotees of Dera Sacha Sauda. The seed of Dera Sacha Sauda which Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj had sown and Param Pita Ji let it grow, is spreading its branches in the whole world in form of a huge tree by teaching the values of humanity and spirituality to everyone under the pious supervision of third spiritual master, Saint Dr. MSG Insan.
