In this era of social media, you see different opinions around the world online. From kids to teenagers to adults to elderly, no one can entirely stay away from online activities happening around the world. It do creates endless opportunities and ideas but so do comes endless confusion with all of it. What to trust, what not to, this is where Guru is needed who can tell us clearly the difference between right and wrong according to the changing world around us so that we don’t end up taking decisions that can destroy our lives.
The ultimate dilemma: Whom to trust?
We can connect with anyone sitting thousands of kilometers away from us just with a click on our mobile screens. That is the power of technology. We can make as many friends as we want and can let as many people in our lives as we desire. But! Whom to trust with our personal life? Our family, elderly parents, kids, women of our family, our finances, everything can be put to risk with wrong people getting involved with us. So, whom to trust, how to take those decisions, we need a true Guru in our life! A Guru who wants nothing in return from us and just guides us selflessly to live the life righteous way and most importantly, safe way.
What makes a Guru True?
Gu means darkness and Ru means light. A Guru is the one who lights the lamp of knowledge in the darkness of
ignorance.
A Guru doesn’t ask for something for himself. He won’t ask you to massage his legs, he won’t ask to bring clothes for him or he will do something bad omen on you. He won’t ask you for a car/vehicle; He won’t say why you didn’t bring milk for him
A true Guru will ask you why you did not recite the method of meditation! Like a mechanic knows how a car will run smoothly, Guru is the mechanic for human life. He knows that if human does not recite the method of meditation, his self confidence won’t rise and thus he won’t be successful in his endeavours
The ultimate saviour in Endless problems and uncertain future
Life sometimes knocks us down so bad that it seems impossible to get back up or keep going. It leads to impulsive decisions that can create a loop of endless problems for us. How to get yourselves out of it if you are unable to tell anyone, how to get your normal life back, sometimes, these questions seem to have no possible answers. But with true Guru by our side, in whom we can confide and who knows how to help and guide us through the darkest times and make our life better is someone everyone needs.
The ultimate goal is to awaken your inner conscience, the key to which is provided by the true Guru.
On the occasion of Guru Purnima, let’s honor our Guru who has taught us to be the best and kind version of ourselves, the one who has asked nothing in return, the one who is the saviour in all problems.

Ultimately I found that celebrating our Guru is one thing, but true devotion lies in living by His teachings. Having a Guru in our lives is meaningful only when we walk the path He has shown us. That path not only leads us towards our ultimate purpose but also brings clarity, strength, and peace to our everyday lives—as if we are walking hand in hand with the Supreme Power.
